Congratulations to Lauren Saunders who stepped onto the podium as English Schools Primary girls champion.  Quinn Shaw also dived consistently to win bronze in the intermediate boys event.

Held at the Olympic Pool, London this event brings divers from across England to compete for their school and region. Five Albatross divers competed as part of the SE Regional team while Quinn Shaw represented the SW.

Lauren Saunders who is in year 6 at Alfred Sutton Primary, Reading won gold in the primary girls event (133.25) and was joined by team-mate Meah Thorngate from The Hill Primary who finished with 88.25 points.  Max Roberts-Blaise from St Joseph’s College had his first taste of this level competition and dived well to finish with 61.60 points in the boys primary event

Maya Peche (Yr 7 at Langtree school) performed exceptionally well in a highly competitive junior girls event to finish mid-field with 128.40 points.

Two Albatross divers were competing in the closely contested Intermediate boys event.  Quinn Shaw showed consistency to win bronze  for the South West regional team with 243.70 points.  Albatross team mate James West (Maiden Erleigh) was not far behind finishing in 6th place for the South East Region with 240 points

Charlotte West (Maiden Erleigh) finished in 5th place in senior girls with 249.45 points. Elisabeth Cullen was13th with 184.40

Charlotte West was back on the boards with brother James West to compete in the intermediate/senior mixed synchro event.  The duo finished 6th with 170.46

ESSA is a team event and the SE Regional team were delighted to learn that they finished the entire competition in joint 3rd with 56 points!
