Four Albatross divers age 10-14 travelled to Aachen in Germany this weekend to compete in the Kilinger Cup. This popular competition was hosted by the German Diving Club SV Neptun Aachen and attracted others from the UK alongside divers from as far afield as Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ukraine and Russia.
Competing in boys C James West saved his best for day three and the 1m event. A consistent high tariff set earned him a well deserved bronze medal. Teammate Quinn Shaw showcased his best skills on platform where he finished 9th
Lauren Saunders diving in her first junior international event did extremely well especially in her group D springboard events finishing 6th on 3m and 8th on 1m.
In boys B 14 year old Ethan Jones shone on platform (arguably his favourite event) where he earned a well deserved 6th place.
This event gave all four young Albatross divers invaluable junior international competition experience which they can build on over the coming season
