Albatross & Spire Tracksuits

Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon, Simon Middleton handed out tracksuits to young divers in a presentation at the hospital recently. Spire Dunedin provided the tracksuits for the entire competitive squad of over 40 divers and coaches.

Based at ‘Central Pool’ in Battle Street, Reading, Albatross Diving Club is dedicated to the advancement of excellence in diving and the personal fulfilment and achievement of all those involved with the sport.

Established over 35 years ago the club has grown and now boasts over 90 regular divers with a waiting list continuing beyond those of other sports where the euphoria of the 2012 London Olympics has dwindled.

Advancement in diving has meant that Albatross now have 8 age group divers from 10 to 18 years competing alongside the four elite divers at the four large competitive events throughout the year outside of the nationals. The club have 6 level 2 qualified coaches and 3 level 1 coaches.
Margaret said “We are delighted to be able to help a well-established club that does so much for the youngsters in the local community.”
